Magical Times in Saskatoon.

by - 11:29 PM

One day, Chantelle was up late chatting with her homie K-train. Observe.
And so here we are. Make yourself comfy, folks, and prepare to hear about the time I went to Saskatoon to hang with Bestie Katrina.

It was a dark and stormy night.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...
Once upon a time, Momma Froc had to go to the city to work with some kids. Chantelle had an appointment that afternoon so she tagged along. But what she did not realize was that she would have to occupy herself for an entire day! Keeping strictly to my schedule of nothing, here's what happened:
-bagels for breakfast
-walked from 8th Street down to Broadway
-Checked out some of the shops
-Texted Katrina
-It started to rain
-Walked across the Broadway Bridge
-It rained a little harder
-Walked down to Midtown Plaza because I had to pee and it was raining and apparently there's NOWHERE to stop downtown.
-Got mah Starbucks on
-Met K-train in the greasy food court. It was romantic rad.

We drove back down to 8th St. where Momma Froc was working because I had to give her back her car keys, and then headed out to get some lunch. We ordered Asian food in a food court nearby.
Katrina: Can we have both of these to go?
Middle-aged Greasy White Guy: WHAT?! We just met and you're already leaving me?!
*awkard silence*
Though I had originally wanted to do a picnic, the weather decided to be sucktastic that day. We compromised and had a picnic in the car. With our Asian takeout and chopsticks and Katrina's copout fork. It was rad.

Next, we ventured to Supastore. We love us some Joe clothes. We looked at all the baby clothes. We looked at all the toddler clothes. We looked at all the children's clothes. We wished we had a machine to make the small clothes big enough for us to wear. Then we found these beauties in the women's section:
Yep. They look AND feel like old-lady couches. But we each tried on a couch-outfit anyways. It was rad.

Then we popped across the road to McNally Robinson, a huge bookstore for which I conveniently (and dangerously) had a gift card. Poor Katrina always has to deal with my shopping indecision. I get buyer's guilt before I even buy anything. I'm an awful person. Haha. We hung out in the kid's section and sat on the floor reading the storybooks.
 Also, Katrina likes wiggle cars.
This gem of a book came home with me.

On we went to Broadway! But not the cool New York kind. Just the Saskatoon one. Either way, I like Broadway.
I like Starbucks. I like old buildings. I like Starbucks in old buildings.
I like making people smile.
 I like cool stairs.
I like antique stores!
Check out this picture of a guy we found in there. How 'bout that unibrow? Right?!
It's a tea set. It's a vintage tea set. It's a vintage tea set that is TOMATO shaped. How perfect is that?!
We stopped at this cute 50s-themed cafe for a snack.
A very nutritious snack, I might add.
These are our attractive poutine faces:
And these are some hand chairs that we sat on.
It was rad.

The adventure was paused for a few hours. I had to go to my appointment and have supper with Momma Froc and a family friend, and Katrina had to also have din din, and then was at a youth activity. But nothing can come between our love. We were eventually reunited, and we had a sleepover at her homeland! Woo!
 Yup.
The next morning we brushed our teeth like bosses. And then we had breaky and coloured.
So there you go. That was our magical adventure. It was rad.
The end.
