Battle of the Boyfriends

I am roommates with two couples. I say "couples" and not "girlfriends", because their respective gentlemen callers basically live here too. Anyways.

I don't even remember how it started, but at the beginning of the school year there was this running joke between Kevin (Lianne's boyfriend) and I about how he never brought ME flowers. Not Lianne, which would make sense, me. One night I was in my room when Lianne yelled for me to come to the livingroom. And there on the floor was Kevin.
On one knee.
Holding a bouquet of flowers.
It was basically the best thing of my life.
Fast forward a few weeks. Gizette's boyfriend, Jeremy moved to Lethbridge. The very first thing I said to him was, "I don't know if Gizette's told you this, but there's kind of a tradition in this house where the boyfriends bring me flowers." I felt kind of bad for him, because he had JUST met me, and thought that I was joking.

 (Spoiler: I wasn't.)

We now have this semi-serious competition affectionately dubbed "Battle of the Boyfriends". We keep a tally on our chalkboard for each of the men. Flowers equal three points, which originally put Kevin in the lead. The points are given out as I see fit. Example: I gave Jeremy a point because he likes peanut butter cups. I keep them neck and neck so that no one is sad. :)
Lianne took it upon herself to leave Jeremy a little reminder the other day. I appreciated it.
 Gizette didn't.
I've officially declared neutrality because I love them both. I'm just in this for the flowers.

P.S. Boys, shovelling our sidewalk is two points. ;)
