Canada D(eh!)

by - 9:59 PM

Canada Day fell on a Sunday this year, which means that my celebrations were not quite as raucous as usual. Y'know, because I'm such a wild party animal anyways.... But I digress. Getting to go to church on Canada was actually really cool. The speakers talked about Canada (surprise), but they related it to gospel principles as they did it! And I learned that the fathers of Confederation got Canada's motto "from sea to sea" from Psalms in the Bible. Pretty rad if you ask me! Usually if Canada Day (or Independence Day in the US) falls on the Sunday, the concluding hymn is the national anthem. To stand with my church family and sing about God and our country in harmony was amazing. And then the organist did this unexpected epic key change for the last verse... gah... I'm such a sucker for key changes...

Later, Lizzy and I headed over to Henderson Park to watch the fireworks.
This last one was the best. Very Tinkerbell-esque.
Since Canada Day was on the weekend, we got the Monday off! And off we went to Waterton!

I literally could have stared at this all day. I love mountains...
Then we went for ice cream and found these.
The end.
