Part of the reason I came home so early is because, a few weeks ago, I talked to Mister Clay on the phone, and in his most innocent voice ever, he begged me to come to his Christmas concert.

And then my heart did one of those things where it goes all mushy and I booked the earliest flight home possible. That kid... I tell ya!
