Operation Reading Week 2011: Days 1, 2, & 3

Day 1: Saturday

Saturday I was home by myself. I don't like to be alone. It makes me sad. So I called home and cried. Pathetic? Yeah, lil' bit. Anyways, later that day I went over to my friend Ben's house for a "study" party with him and our friend Lizzy. We ended up just watching Big Bang Theory. And wrestling with blankets over our heads. And playing Marco Polo. And eating copious amounts of candy. (Well, really that was mostly Ben and Lizzy...) Then we made supper in the fancy kitchen! It made me happy. :) I love my friends.

Day 2: Sunday
Normally nothing super interesting happens on Sunday. Church was pretty good; I made two new friends! After church, my roommate Indie and I decided to invite some kids over from the ward for a Games Night at our house. Only about 8 or so showed up, but it was still fun! We had a rip-roaring game of Truth or Dare... complete with the consumption of an extremely nasty sandwich (mustard, icing, hot sauce, veggie burger, yogurt), a toilet paper zombie, and Lindsey skipping around the house in a cape shouting "I am here to protect!". Also, I had my first marriage proposal last night. Yes, it WAS a dare, but technically it still counts right? It was kind of awkward... like an Old Spice commercial in my living room. *cough*

Day 3: Monday
I caught cabin fever. I couldn't stay in the house any longer. This morning I showered, dressed, and cleaned my room, and then packed my backpack and set off to go do something. I waited for fifteen minutes at the bus stop before I realized that it was Family Day, a provincial holiday, and no buses were running! So I walked down to the main road. I went to the drugstore to pick up a few things, then got bored and went to Totem. I was just going to look for chalkboard paint, but I ended up planning my dream house and leaving with a fistful of paint samples. I think I need human interaction... Then I walked over to Value Village and bummed around there for a bit. I found sheet music for movie musical songs for the clarinet! I just may have to whip that bad boy out again...
Also, at FHE tonight, we planned for the Stake Roadshow. Our ward is in charge of a skit, and the theme is "Fairy tales". We decided to do a skit about Fairy tale couples on dates, how they go badly, and how they are eventually fixed in the end by the "three fairy godmothers" (Our bishopric). I was cast as a main character! I get to play Belle. No big deal. She's only my favourite Disney princess...
