Twenty Dollars and a Proposition

Yesterday I had to run some errands. Being the classy lady I am, that of course meant a trip to Walmart. WOO. After picking up a few things, I went to the self check-out and rang everything through. I also took out twenty dollars from the cash back thing because I needed to load some money onto my student card. As I picked up my bag and turned to leave, the girl behind me said, "Excuse me! You left your twenty dollars there!" I remembered picking it up, but I quickly thanked her, took the bill, and left.

As I got into my car, I pulled the money out of my pocket and discovered not one, but TWO twenty dollar bills. Turns out, I had NOT forgotten to take my money, the machine had just given me more money than it was supposed to. But there was no way to put it back, and I couldn't give it to a cashier or it would have thrown off their till count for the day. I felt very bad.

Good thing I've got an idea. (hehehe)

Momma Froc always tells us that when we're feeling bad we should go serve someone else. Plus it's Christmas time and we have a longstanding tradition in our family of performing little good deeds as our way of celebrating the "12 Days of Christmas". Since I'm on my own, I've decided that this year, starting on Saturday, I will do one random act of kindness each day until Christmas Eve. And I'm putting that twenty dollar bill will be put towards that. Every day there will be a post documenting the deed of the day, and maybe other nice things others have done. I'm welcome to ideas and I would LOVE people to join me! In fact, I DARE YOU.

You in? :)
