The Twelve Days of Kindness: Days 1 and 2
On Saturday night, we had our Church Christmas party. It was wonderful fun, with food and friends and a photo booth, and snickering as people shoved pantyhose on their heads. Everyone that came got a little box filled with candy as a treat. At the end of the night, there were tons of these little boxes left over, so I took em.
Kimmy and I drove over to the University Library and quietly handed them out to people that were studying for finals.
The smiles we got were great, but I think my favourite reaction came from this French guy. Kimmy put down the little candy box and said "Happy studying!", and this guy looked up at her and enthusiastically said, "MERCI BEAUCOUP! 'Ow do I repay thees kindness?! What do I do? Do I just smile?!"
We left the school grinning.
Day 2 was not nearly as extravagant, because I procrastinated until about 10:00 PM. So I just wrote little love notes to my roommates and stuck them on their pillows.
What nice things have you noticed people doing today?
