Weekend Music: Soundtracks for the Soul

Well hello! School is back in swing, and things are busy as ever. Hopefully this is my last full year (KNOCK ON ALL THE WOOD), so I'm trying to cram as much in as possible. If you don't see me, I'm not dead, I'm just either in a studio somewhere meticulously crafting a scale model of a wooden floor, or at work, or laying in bed questioning my life choices.
This weekend I'm headed on a field trip to Calgary with one of my classes. We're taking two dozen artistic kids, putting them on a bus, and then forcing them to spend 13 hours together. Fun right? Updates to follow.
I've been finding myself listening to quite a lot of soundtracks lately. I think it's partially because of the cool weather. Or maybe it's my new de-stress thing. Okay, okay. You got me. I just really love soundtracks...
Opening (from Far From the Madding Crowd) - Craig Armstrong
Arrival of the Birds (from The Crimson Wing, also used in The Theory of Everything) - Claseria and The Cinematic Orchestra
A Dark Cloud is Forever Lifted (from The New World) - James Horner
Dawn (from Pride and Prejudice)- Dario Marianelli
The Heroic Weather-Conditions of the Universe, Part 1: A Veiled Mist (from Moonrise Kingdom)- Alexandre Desplat
The Burning Bush (from The Prince of Egypt)- Hans Zimmer
