My weekend plans include: cleaning my room, working on roadshow props, going for a walk, practicing music for my audition, doing laundry, possibly going to see Hamlet, church, roadshow practice, and as always, listening to awesome music!

First, this is a sadly beautiful little film that I saw the other day on the internet. It's based on part of the poem "Be Near Me When My Light is Low" by Tennyson. I think it's amazing how many different emotions they packed into like a minute and a half...
Why was I perusing the internet looking for poetry? Well, lately, no matter how tired I am, I have had a hard time falling asleep. And then sometimes if I do manage to fall asleep, I'll wake up a lot during the night or have bad dreams. So this past week I decided to try something new.


I KNOW this puts me at like a 589 on the nerd scale. But it works! I found some videos on youtube of classic poetry readings by people with really calming voices and each night before bed I put on this playlist. I'm literally out in five minutes.

Not only has this helped me fall asleep, but it's also somewhat improved the bad taste that my english classes last year left in my mouth. (Thanks a lot, Ian.) I'm pretty sure that if people used language the way Wordsworth or Tennyson did, the world would be a better place.

Hola!

This afternoon I was in the living room eating a snack. Blueberry yogurt with granola and almonds and coconut. I invented it. It's basically the best snack ever.

Anyways, I sat eating my yogurt when my phone started to ring beside me. This was very odd. The only people that ever call me are my mother and the doctor's office. I was just at the doctor's today, and Momma Froc was likely at work. And of course I don't have caller ID. So I answered the phone.


The lady on the phone doesn't say anything. For like twenty seconds. It's really awkward. Just as I'm about to hang up, she kinda does this grunting thing and says "Alright" in a super low, manly voice. Like, imagine Arnold Schwarzenegger's "I'll be back", and that's exactly what it sounded like. And then I can sense another awkward pause, so I start to take a breath to say "Have a nice day!", and she hangs up on me. Haha!

Strangers are awesome.

I've never had a boyfriend. In fact, I've never even been on a date! And that's okay! It used to make me really, really upset. (Truth be told, it still does sometimes.) It used to be hard for me to be happy for my friends with their boyfriends/girlfriends, hand-holding, and syrupy pet names (barf). And when February 14 rolled around, I would get really moody and basically pout all day. Yes, friends-
