A little bit of Tuesday, A little bit of Wednesday...
You know how most people go to a coffee house and they get coffee? Well, I go to a coffee house with someone, and we end up splitting a cupcake-flavoured Italian soda that kinda tastes like cough syrup, so neither of us really want the entire thing.
And then we play chess. At the coffee house. Because we're cool like that.
Yesterday I had my first REAL sushi! I had had it before, but we had made it for a youth group activity, and it just had crab meat in it. I liked this item on the menu: Get it? Ninja roll? I really don't mind sushi (especially the stuff on the right. YUM), but the one on the left was the raw fish, and it looked like Nemo, so I felt bad eating it. :(
Tonight was the dreaded four-hour Women's Chorus dress rehearsal. It went really well! This is the creepy grandma in the church bathroom:
This is not the Women's Chorus, because there are boys in it. Duh. This group is the U of L Singers, who will also be singing at the concert. I think this is when they were singing, "My son..... my son...... my sonnnnnnnnn......" (Repeat 67 times). Also, I was probably not supposed to take pictures, so uh, let's just keep this on the DL. On an unrelated note, in one of our songs, I stand on the stage on this thing that looks a LOT like a trap door. It helps me sing more intensely.
Our concert is on Saturday in this great big church downtown! It's lovely, and I LOVE singing in big churches. The sound just rings and makes my ears happy.
Also, I got a happy note today! It made my day! It was totally unexpected and so lovely.
Happy Things:
-Today was Adventure Wednesday. Excellent lunch and company were involved.
-Purchased tickets for more concerts today!
-The Crazy Week of Music is half over!
-I had a good hair day. I missed my bus in the morning, so I went back home and did my hair for an hour. haha.
-My parents might come visit soon!
-chats with friends
-Our choir director Ruth brought oreos for us to secretly eat during dress rehearsal. But I didn't eat mine secretly. I wanted to make the other kids jealous.
-My new record for minesweeper on hard is 2 minutes and 44 seconds. Previous record = 8 minutes, 42 seconds. Win.
